Kick off Summer in Downtown Mount Clemens

There’s nothing like a downtown to draw the whole community together, and they’re doing just that with three events in Downtown Mount Clemens this week.

The Downtown Mount Clemens Made in Michigan Show is an open-air show dedicated to all things made, grown, manufactured, and distributed by Michigan-based business. The show will showcase many of these products at this new family-friendly event and inform, educate and encourage Michiganders, organizations and to support out local economy by purchasing products made in Michigan and from Michigan – based companies and vendors. The show is located on Macomb Place in downtown Mount Clemens. Show hours are Friday, May 11, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. and Saturday, May 12, 10-6 p.m.

The Downtown Mount Clemens Fireworks at the Stars & Stripes Festival on June 29 is the biggest free party in Mount Clemens, but there’s a lot of fundraising to be done throughout the year, and the latest party is at Monte’s Mount Clemens, at 112 Macomb, with music by Slot Rods, Crooked Joint, Switchblade Justice and others. The party starts at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 12. $10, which goes toward the fireworks, gets you in the door.

The first Fun Days Saturday kicks off with fun with Rosco the Clown at the Fountain Stage in Macomb Place in Downtown Mount Clemens at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 12.
