I’ll take that one, no, that one instead, no …
Andrea Marchand greeted me and the other patrons with the brightest smile, and an incredibly warm welcome, as we walked into her newly opened, “Just Baked” shop.
I’d read about this new shop in a local paper and was immediately intrigued with it’s special theme. “Just Baked” features cupcakes. Jumbo cupcakes to be exact, in 50 different, delicious flavors.
Andrea invited me to come back the next day when the display cases would be fully stocked. I’m glad she offered this because I really wanted to get the full breath of 50 flavors of cupcakes.
Back the next day, I was not disappointed. My eyes and taste-buds lit up. There were so many flavors that I wanted to try. But tasting them all would be out of the question. So, with a little help from Andrea’s son Patrick, I opted on one of my favorites, the Carrot Cupcake, though the Banana Pudding cupcake was gnawing at my heart strings. Once again, I was not disappointed. The taste was rich and moist and deliciously pleasing.
Andrea and I chatted for a little while about what her shop would offer. More than the delicious cupcakes, there will be specialty orders available for many occasion; carmel-corn ‘puffs’ (like cheese-puffs);, cookies and even treats for ‘man’s best friend.’
Andrea wanted the surrounding community to know that she “couldn’t have picked a better location for her cupcake shop.” In the City Centre area of Southfield, “Just Baked” is surrounded by downtown, residential, colleges, and plenty of activities that happen daily at the Civic Center. Lots of people with a sweet-tooth, I’m sure.
Good luck to you!
